The Miniature Golf Association U.S. (MGAUS) is a trade association established in 1997 to open the lines of communications and to provide an effective forum for business people interested in the continued growth and success of the miniature golf and family entertainment center industry.
The MGAUS is dedicated to improving the safety and professionalism of miniature golf and family entertainment centers. The MGAUS agenda addresses the issues, opportunities, and problems which affect the miniature golf and family entertainment center industry. The MGAUS caters specifically to the needs, interests and goals of its members by providing: an information resource and communications network; market research and analysis; political lobbying; publications including The Right Track newsletter, The Miniature Golf Reference Manual & Buyers Guide, and Action Alerts regarding important and timely information; amusement industry management and employee training systems; marketing a positive national and international image of the industry; and problem resolution for our members in any reasonable manner. The MGAUS Business Network of over 5000 contacts in the industry enables our members to have almost immediate access to other operators, manufacturers, consultants, designers, builders, engineers, insurance companies, governmental agencies and officials, financial resources, expert witnesses, defense attorneys, training services, employment and management services. The MGAUS Member Insurance Program, developed in conjunction with Northeast Insurance Company, is a program exclusively for MGAUS members. The program is brokered by leading global provider of insurance and risk management services with the experience, market leverage, and strength to provide the highest level of value in the most cost effective manner possible. The MGAUS Insurance Program can provide MGAUS members with the following insurance coverage. General Liability Insurance, Property, Crime, Boiler & Machinery, Business Interruption Insurance, Worker's Compensation, Automobile Insurance, Liquor Liability, and Umbrella Liability. The MGAUS Standards & Guidelines Committee is an on-going process for recognizing and establishing industry practices and recommended guidelines for the manufacturing, design, construction, and operations of miniature golf and other FEC attractions. The focus of this effort is to promote the safety of guests and employees, and to have a positive influence on state and national laws and insurance underwriting requirements. The MGAUS Political Action Committee promotes tort reform and the adoption of risk assumption legislation. This committee actively participates in local, regional, and national lobbying efforts to effect legislation for the benefit of the amusement facility operators and manufacturers.
